explanatio, explānātĭo, ōnis, f. explano. An explanation, interpretation (class.): somniis, vaticinationibus, oraculis quod erant multa obscura, explanationes adhibitae sunt interpretum, Cic. Div. 1, 51, 116; cf. aequitatis, id. Rep. 5, 2: unius cujusque propositionis, Auct.
