granatus, grānātus, a, um, adj. granum, having many grains or seeds: mala, quae Punica vocantur, i. e. a pomegranate, Col. 12, 42, 1.—Hence, subst.: grānātum, i, n., a pomegranate: granata, Col. 12, 46, 2; Plin. 15, 28, 34, § 115; 20, 14, 53, § 149.
