ambrosius, ambrŏsĭus, a, um, adj., = ἀμβρόσιος, immortal, divine, ambrosial (syn.: immortalis, divinus), in gen., all that pertains to the gods, and their prerogatives and endowments; hence, an epithet for every thing lovely, pleasant, sweet, etc. (in gen. only poet.): comae, Verg.
