trutina, trŭtĭna, ae, f. τρυτάνη, a balance, pair of scales (cf.: lanx, statera). Lit., Varr. L. L. 5, § 183 Müll.; id. ap. Non. 180, 32: ex trutinis quae staterae dicuntur, Vitr. 10, 8.
